Watch My Morning Jacket Perform ‘Circuital’ In Its Entirety Live

I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to call My Morning Jacket’s latest LP Circuital the best studio effort the band’s released to date.  The recordings seem to be a little more earnest and do the group’s musical abilities the appropriate amount of justice they deserve, and now, courtesy of NPR, you can check out the band performing the entire record and some of their classics on the live stage the band shines so brightly on.  It’s a pretty intimate show (by MMJ standards) done for a California radio station and it’s worth a watch.  Jump and enjoy, children.

My Morning Jacket – “Holdin’ On To Black Metal” (Video)

Since Circuital was released upon the world, My Morning Jacket has not failed to impress.  Their live shows are as good as ever (which is fairly fucking awesome), their singles have delivered, and now they’ve got a pretty solid, sleek video for yet another quality track.  It’s as nice a combo of live footage and quirky cartoonage as you’ll find, I reckon.  Jump and enjoy.

Watch Erykah Badu Perform With My Morning Jacket

Well, this has to be one of the most unlikely musical pairings I’ve heard of in a very, very long time–My Morning Jacket and Erykah Badu.  Apparently, last night during MMJ’s concert in their hometown of Louisville, KY, Ms. Badu (who opened for the group as part of American Express’s “Unstaged” series) joined the epic rockers on stage for four songs including covers of her tracks, “Tyrone” and “Twinkle”, and a couple of MMJ songs (“Wordless Chorus” and “The Day Is Coming”).  Take the jump for a video of the juxtaposed artists performing Badu’s “Tyrone”–enjoy.

My Morning Jacket – “Victory Dance”

Circuital’s on the way, but to tease you just a little bit more, here’s another upcoming track from My Morning Jacket.  “Victory Dance” is dark, epic, and powerful–I really just want to hear it live, honestly.  Jump and enjoy, children.
